Beautiful Beaches of India
Indian beaches are popular worldwide for having the most enticing combination of sun, sand, sea and surf that every beach travelers dream about. India’s coastal line cover an area of over 7000 km which runs from the state of Gujarat in the west to state of West Bengal in the east. The states which border the coast/sea side are Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and West Bengal. India is bordered by Bay of Bengal in east, Indian Ocean in south and Arabian Ocean in the west. Along these states, India has some of the finest beaches in the world. Goa lists on the top for beach holidays in India which has over 100 km long coastline with some of the loveliest beaches such as Calangute, Colva,. Baga, Vagator, Varca, Anjuna and Palolem.
The other prominent beach destinations in India are Bekal in north Kerala, Marari in central Kerala, Kovalam in south Kerala, Mahabalpuram in Tamil Nadu, Puri in Orissa, Diu in Gujarat. The two famous Islands are Lakshadweep (Laccadives) in Arabian Ocean, west of Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar in Bay of Bengal.
